Cookie Policy
Calcemitool uses as little browser storage as a site can reasonably use. This page lists every category, what it does and how to remove it.

What cookies and local storage are
A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. Local storage is similar but stays on your device and is never transmitted. Both let a site remember something between page loads; neither can read files on your computer or see other sites' data.
What this site uses
| Name | Type | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Theme preference | Local storage (first-party) | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. | Until you clear site data |
| Recently viewed | Local storage (first-party) | Lists the calculators you opened most recently so you can return to them. | Until you clear site data |
| Advertising cookies | Cookie (third-party) | Set by advertising vendors to measure ad delivery and, unless you opt out, to personalise the ads you see. | Set by the vendor |
| Analytics | Cookie or storage (third-party, optional) | Aggregate page and device statistics used to find broken or unpopular pages. Disabled when no analytics ID is configured. | Set by the provider |
Notably absent: we set no cookie to identify you, no cross-site tracking pixel of our own, and nothing that records the values you type into a calculator.
How to control them
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data from its settings — usually under Privacy. Clearing site data for this domain removes your theme preference and recently viewed list; the site keeps working, it simply forgets you.
To limit advertising personalisation specifically, use Google's Ads Settings or the industry opt-outs at aboutads.info. Blocking all cookies is supported and does not break any calculator on this site.
